Green tea and Ritalin | ADHD Information

Share

Hi,

I'm an avid green tea drinker and came accross a site where it said something about the amino acid theanine being in green tea, which is excellent for calming the nervous system.  I've been drinking green tea for a few years now and just started ritalin and was wondering if it's okay to do this or if anyone else mixes the two.  Thanks

Whatever, crackhead.

I take ritalin with green tea every morning.  I have no complications at all!!

Hope this helps!!
Taking something to calm you down works opposite of whatever stimulant you're taking, so it's considered dangerous to mix the two since it puts stress on your heart, although really you're safe;

A lot of people, including me, use pot to counter-act the Adderall or Concerta, and I've never heard of anyone having anything but positive results (not just being high but long after the THC quits affecting you).

Green tea is definately safe, Elvis mixed heavy downers and speed, not tea and speed. Bye![QUOTE=oloxio]Hi ditzychick,

I take 54mg of Concerta (36mg at 04:00 and 18mg at 11:00).  I've noticed that when I drink some of my wife's decaffeinated green tea in the evening, I quickly experience a crash. I start to feel irritable, "closed in" and frantic - some of the symptoms that led me to Concerta in the first place.

Your experience may vary, of course, but I won't be drinking any more green tea anytime soon.

okay thanks
